Creation of New Web Site For Servicemembers' Rights

Creation of New Web Site For Servicemembers' Rights

New Website Lists Servicemembers' Rights

August 16, 2006

The Department of Justice has launched a website to protect servicemembers' rights. The website at www.servicemembers.gov outlines the rights servicemembers have under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act, the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act and the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act. U.S. Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzalez urges any servicemember with questions to go to the Justice Department Website.

Military lawyers can help servicemembers and their families navigate through the laws.
